Kathy has been an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in
Vernon, CT for the past 18 years. Her diverse musical
contributions at Trinity have included:
- Director of one of the Adult Choirs
- Children’s Choir Director
- Soloist during Sunday worship service
- Speaking/Singing roles in several Liturgical Musical
Dramas
In both 2001 and 2002, she was Lead Vocalist and Producer of
2 concerts with a 6-piece band and additional singers. As a
soloist using her own sound equipment and background tracks, she
was the featured performer at a Baptist Women’s weekend retreat
in 2003. In addition, Kathy has been active
in musical theater since her college years, and has been cast in principal roles and
chorus by various regional and community theater companies.
Kathy has also been a physical
therapist for 28 years, specializing in manual therapy for the
last 18 years. She is married, with 2 children in their twenties
now. While raising the children, Kathy's primary musical
experience involved singing First Soprano with the Vernon
Chorale and contributing musically at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Since childhood, she has had two
great interests: Music and Medicine. During the process of
spiritual direction, she has discovered that the common thread
that joins those two diverse interests is a healing/spiritual
core. She is now enrolled in the “Music for Healing and
Transition Program,” and is anticipating becoming a Certified
Music Practitioner within the next year. With God’s grace, she is looking forward to
exploring those connections further.
Kathy is a proud member of the New England Christian Coffee Houses Ministry.
